24th World Scout Jamboree - could you be joining the adventure of a lifetime?

Liverpool North will shortly start the search process for up to 4 young people to represent us as part of the Merseyside Contingent to the World Scout Jamboree in North America in 2019. The Jamboree will take place on 22nd July – 2nd August 2019 at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia, USA.
If you were born between 22 July 2001 and 21 July 2005, you are eligible to apply to attend. (If you are outside of this specific age range, unfortunately you wont be eligible this time)
More information about the application process and details about the Jamboree will be shared soon.
The UK Contingent Management Team anticipate being able to publish the fee by mid October 2017. They are keen to ensure that we offer all attendees a value for money experience and therefore are currently undertaking a thorough travel tender process. The cost of travel is a significant proportion of the budget and through completion of a thorough tender and due diligence process will ensure that they secure a reliable and cost effective option. As this proportion of the budget is unconfirmed they are unable to state a ‘no more than fee’ and therefore appreciate your patience whilst the tender process is completed and the.

05/07/2017 By Stephen James

Are you 16-25 and wanting to complete your Queen Scout Award? Are you already completing the requirements as part of the Gold DofE? Have you registered online with the Scout association?

It has come to light that there have been a number of instances within Merseyside where people have failed to achieve their Queens Scout Award desspite completeing the requirements undertaking the Gold DofE due to a minor technical breach and not registering. It takes less than 5 minutes to register and allows you to count your DofE actions towards your QSA. If you don't you may have to do all the items TWICE!

Please follow the link below to go straight to the page.

If you have any questions, please speak to one of the Explorer Leaders who will be able to assist.

THANK YOU - District Camp 2017
12/06/2017 By Helen Hannigan

A massive thank you to all who attended, assisted or organised this year’s District Camp! The weekend ran smoothly and was enjoyed by over 500 members of Liverpool North and this is down to the efforts of you all!

To the team which helped to organise the whole event  a huge thanks to you all for the work you put in at camp, from my point of view it went well despite the weather. Just to say thank you seems such a little thing but it is sincerely meant.

Tawd Vale staff have also praised us all as a district and want us to pass on their thanks for the respect shown not only to them but the Twad Vale site in general, especially the toilets which are normally left in a state – not by LND who have kept these clean and serviceable throughout the weekend! So thank you to all of you for this and upholding the LND name!

Keep your eyes peeled for photographs and videos being uploaded by the various groups. We are currently sifting through to upload as many as possible onto the website and Facebook. If you have any photo’s or videos you can send in, please email to stejay87@gmail.com or if possible send a drop box link to allow these to be downloaded.

Thanks again

Helen, LND DC
