Thursday, 30th  September 2010 at 7.30pm  –  this year ’ s event will be held at The Suites Hotel, Ribblers Lane , Knowsley. Supper is provided and a bar is available. Bookings are available on the county website  and via the County Office

Jamboree Fundraising

The Jamboree Contingent from Liverpool North will be selling the official Merseyside Unit Jamboree Badge to raise funds for their trip. Offer the badge to your members; I’m sure there will be children and parents happy to pay the £2 fee for the badge for a good cause. Anything you can do to help them, I’m sure will be appreciated.

Claiming of expenses from Liverpool North District Scout Council

The following policy sets out the procedures for and basis of reimbursement of expenses incurred by individuals in relation to the activities of the Council.

The County Office new opening times will be as follows : Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10.30am to 3.00pm.

Vacancies

We are looking to appoint a Local Training Manager in Liverpool North District 

Local Training Managers are responsible to the Assistant County Commissioner for Adult Support and are appointed by the County, in consultation with the relevant District Commissioner. The role involves: 

• Undertaking the assessment of training needs for new adult members of the District and agreeing Personal Learning Plans with individuals
• Taking a proactive approach to facilitating the participation of adult members within the District on County run learning experiences; as required by their Personal Learning Plan
• Managing the provision of flexible learning experiences with the District 
• Recording and monitoring training progress of adult members within the District
• Ensuring that new adult members have access to a County run induction evening
• Working with the District Commissioner to raise awareness within the District of learning and support opportunities
  

You need to be: 

• At least 18 years of age
• Willing to accept a volunteer County appointment within The Scout Association
• Able to commit between 4 and 6 hours per week during evenings (meeting adults and undertaking administration) and between 2 and 4 days per year during weekends (participating in meetings and the provision of learning experiences)
• Information Technology literate and have access to a PC with Internet and email
• A creative thinker, dedicated to supporting other adults who provide Scouting to young people
